AskSpector Is it OK for Yankees fans to have Jeter fatigue

The next time you see an #AskSpector Tweetbag, baseball's regular season will be over. Where has the time gone? Away, apparently, and here we are for one more se sion of questions and answers before Paul Konerko's retirement. If you have a question for the next edition of the Tweetbag, about baseball or anything else, just hop over to Twitter and use the #AskSpector hashtag NFL Tennessee Titans Jersey . It's that easy! On to your questions...

I'm a lifelong Yankee fan. Is it OK that I'm done with all the Jeter? Longest shiva call ever. I need to move on.

Jason Chaimovitch (@JChaimo)

It's definitely OK.

FOX SPORTS:

I have a lot of thoughts and feelings to unpack before I write about Jeter's last home game on Thursday, but one thing that I can say without reservation is that this year's farewell tour has been very uncomfortable. I think I've touched on it before that it was easier for everyone in baseball to bid a fond farewell to Mariano Rivera because Rivera was the guy who just saw through your defeat if you were on the other side, and Jeter was the guy who had a big part in causing your defeat. That's made all of the Jeter farewell stuff more awkward, because if you weren't a Yankee fan, there was no way you liked Jeter. Respected him, sure, but you couldn't like him. He was too busy making you misearble.

There's a sloppy comparison to be made between Jeter and Tom Brady, with Rivera as maybe Peyton Manning, but I won't draw that out all the way, other than to say both quarterbacks are guys who have been winners, and never really done anything wrong, with one more in the public eye than the other, but one is sort of a public villain because he's "too perfect," while the other just comes acro s as a guy who has this amazing talent, and you're happy for him when he does well, even if you don't really like his team.

MORE:

See, that comparison is sloppy, and I will not make it, other than in that journalisty way where I did even though I said Dion Lewis Jersey I wasn't. I'm the worst.

Anyway, yeah, it's been painful for non-Yankees fans, but also painful for Yankees fans because Jeter isn't Jeter anymore, and yet here are all of these hashtags and commercials and customized gear and you're not even really sure if Jeter wants all of it and it's just too much. It all would have been so much better if Jeter had led the Yankees to one more title in 2012, and gone out on top. It could've happened he was their best player that year at 38 but then he got hurt. It wasn't an old man injury, but he came back an old man. There's no way this is how he wanted to go out, but this is how it's going down. It does feel like a shiva call, where Rivera felt like a good Irish wake.

here's one for your mailbag: What's more likely? Battle of the Freeway or Battle of the Beltway?

Mark Zinno (@MarkZinno)

Jeffery Simmons Jersey The odds from The Linemakers here at Sporting News have the Dodgers and Nationals as co-favorites in the National League, with the Angels at 2-1 for the American League pennant and the Orioles at 3-1. Odds aren't just about predicting the future, they're about what betting markets are projected to do, but I picked the Dodgers to win the World Series before the season, and I'm sticking with that, so I will say a Freeway Series is more likely.

The Yanks-Mets had the 'subway series'If the Orioles and Nationals play in the World Series, what will it be called?

Lowetide (@Lowetide_)

"Battle of the Beltway," according to the last question. Other options would be the MARC Series, the Two Hours To Drive 40 Miles Series (not to be confused with the similar version in southern California), the BWI Series, and Ha Ha, Bite Me, New York.

hey just wondering what your thoughts were on Teemu Selanne's comments regarding Bruce Boudreau?

Frank Howard (@FrankJHoward) A.J. Brown Jersey

Selanne is one of my favorite hockey players of all time, so I would like to take his side. I do agree with him that he was used badly in the playoffs. I don't, however, think that Boudreau is a bad coach. The Ducks have won more than they honestly ought to since he's gotten there, and he did a pretty good job getting the Capitals on track before diverting from the style that made Washington succe sful. I think Boudreau often is too quick to change his tactics to make his bo ses happy, and that does seem evident in what Selanne had to say about him and lineup selection.

Don't the Red Sox have to figure out a way to keep Mookie Betts?

They Call Me John B (@TheyCallMeJohnB)

They don't have to figure out a way to keep Betts, because he's not even Kevin Byard Jersey eligible for arbitration until after the 2016 season, and is not eligible for free agency until after 2019. Boston would do well to figure out a way to keep him in the lineup, but that's something Betts himself should have a lot of control over with the way he plays.

if the Marlins had a healthy Jose Fernandez and a healthy Stanton to finish the season, where would they be?

Jake Winderman (@jakewinderman)

Second in the National League East, but I'm not sure it would have been enough to get them to the playoffs. Close, but not quite.

Who was the bo s of Whos the Bo s?

Robert L. Bishop (@BishopSBN)

According to , "Angela Bower, a divorced advertising executive, who employs Tony as a live-in housekeeper at her residence ... therefore is the 'Bo s.'"

If it's as easy as Angela being the person paying Tony, though, the show's title would be stupid. Angela cannot be the bo s for this reason, but she could be the bo s for another reason.

She's not, though. It's Mona, not only for reasons within the plot, but because there was a spinoff in the works that got shot down because ABC was afraid that Mona leaving would have ruined "Who's The Bo s?" This is one of the best decisions in television history.

An alternate answer would be Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter, the executive producers. An even better alternative answer would be Randee Heller. Who's Randee Heller? She played Carol on two episodes of "Who's The Bo s?" and then went on to play Mi s Blankenship on "Mad Men." Why does that matter? On one episode of "Who's The Bo s?" there was a character named Peter Willis, played by an actor named Don Draper. If you think Matthew Weiner didn't plan all this from day one, then why did as "Who's the Bo s?"

most enjoyable interview?

Mark Norton (@MDNorton1)

This is one of those questions that I would probably answer differently every time I'm asked, but the answer that popped into my head this time is Orlando Hudson. He was boundle sly energetic, thought about things a little differently than most ballplayers, and loved to talk. I mi s the O-Dog in the majors.

who do you have winning the Stanley Cup?

Monica McAlister (@MonicaMcAlister)

I haven't Taylor Lewan Jersey fully thought out my predictions for the NHL season yet, as if
