If you've been collecting Nike Air Max shoes for a while now, we have no doubts that you're familiar with the Air Max 97 Silver Bullet. Undeniably one of the most iconic colourways to ever grace Christian Tresser's design that draws inspiration from Japanese bullet trains, the design has now returned in the form of the Nike Air Max 97Puerto Rico and we're absolutely loving it.Paying homage to the Caribbean island and as part of the celebrations for Puerto Rican day (the second Sunday of June each year) which Nike is known for commemorating, these AM97 features Air Max branding at the heels, quarter panels, and the Puerto Rican flag land on each tongue tab for a thematic look.
The Nike Air Max 97 sneaker itself is a rework of the original “Silver Bullet” Air Max 97 colorway. It features a silver reflective and mesh with the model’s signature radial lines and adds the Puerto Rican flag to the tongue loop as well as the outsole. It also appears that the sneaker will swap its traditional black accents for a dark navy blue.
The Nike Dunk Low Green Strike features a color-blocked design that nods to the silhouette’s ‘80s roots. Dressed in a Green Strike,Ember Glow,Vintage Yellow and Sapphire color scheme.which combines a white leather base with a yellow forefoot overlay, lime green Swoosh, crimson eyestay and periwinkle heel. Contrasting black hits make their way to the woven tongue tag and heel tab, both marked with classic Nike branding.
