A Sequel to Its Critically-acclaimed Path of Exile Game

Who would've thought that fans of the action RPG genre would get two big statements in under a month? After Blizzard revealed Diablo IV, another important developer, Grinding Gear Games, announced it plans to launch a sequel to its critically-acclaimed POE Currency  game.

Speaking of campaigns, Path of Exile two will feature a new seven-act storyline that'll be available alongside the initial Path of Exile 1 effort. Both the old and new storylines lead to the same shared Atlas endgame. Additionally, Path of Exile 2 retains all growth content that's been produced within the last six years and introduces a new skill system, ascendancy classes, engine enhancements and a lot more. As an example, there will be 19 new ascendancy classes available in the Path of Exile 2, which differ from the previous ones that are still accessible in the Path of Exile 1 effort. Also, a new skill gem system will be implemented soon, which will allow players create specific character assembles simpler than ever.

The most essential change is the elimination of the slot stones out of all the gear looted in the sport. Support stones are now socketed into skill gems, removing many of the frustrations present in the old system while keeping all of the previous depth. One other important aspect is the gear which will be included in the match. An entire development of weapons was redone from start to finish, together with new character models and animations. Obviously, all microtransactions created in the Path of Exile 1 will move to the game.

Something which Grinding Gear Games has not touched is the power tree, which will suffer many changes. However, the studio isn't ready to disclose what exactly was changed but promised to provide more details about other core game systems and the passive ability tree next year. It's also worth mentioning that some of the changes announced a week, like the skill gem system, will be put into place in POE orbs 1 prior to the sequel starts.
